My life journey, experiences, and values continue to shape both my perspective and my creative work.
I am Sheetal Shaw, a visual artist and creator drawn to a simple, mindful life through creativity. My work grows from experience, observation, curiosity, imagination, and a desire to understand the world around me. I am guided by faith in God, respect for reason, and an appreciation for technology as a tool for learning and creative exploration.
Some aspects of my personal history are part of this website because they provide context for the person behind the work. My life has included experiences of childhood trauma, the complexities of the immigrant experience, loss, changes in my family life, career struggles, uncertainty, and the challenges of living with a hidden disability that affects my cognition, and communication. Together, these experiences have shaped how I navigate the world and have deeply influenced my evolution and growth.
At the same time, my life has been sustained and shaped by love, adventure, curiosity, and a continuing desire to understand the world. These experiences have influenced how I observe, create, and find meaning in everyday life.
Over time, my focus has gradually shifted away from external expectations and toward a quieter, more reflective, and more spiritual way of living. Creativity has become a way to process experience, observe life, make sense of my experiences and remain present.
On this website, I share my work as it develops through visual art, crafts and design; photography, travel notes, and other creative explorations. This is an ongoing practice, and it continues to evolve as I deepen my understanding of myself and the world around me.
